HAPPY BITHDAY DADDY! :]
alright, its time to seek GOD! :) i did quiet time on my way to work today and God touched and refreshed my heart again.
before i go on..a little confessions first. i know that i shouldnt go on clinging on to you. its not wrong, but its
UN-GODLY! yea. i was waiting and seeing if i'll get a chance to be with you. but i guess what vic and har told me was right..no point clinging. in the end the one who is gonna suffer would be none other than me myself.. *OUCH! sighs. if letting go was so easy i would have done it a long long time ago..i know i need to let you go! i have to let go! i wouldnt be doing what i preach. but its so so so hard! ): but after all these time, i'm like secretly waiting, waiting for him to come back to me. and.........
TAH-DAH!WHY WAIT? was on my QT!
what came into my mind immediately was "groans! Why God? must i go through this at this time?" i knew that even if i skipped this page, God would still have His means and ways to get it into me. so i sighed and carry on reading, secretly praying to Him to reveal to me that does mean if-i-have-the-patience-to-wait, means-i'll-end-up-with-him-in-the-end? [sigh, me and my wishful thinking again!]
"Being patient can be quite a challenge. But it's clear that God wants us to develop this character trait. After all, patience is more than a virtue...it's a fruit of the Spirit. IT reflects His very presence in our lives, because without His help we cant possibly be patient"
"God wants us to learn to wait patiently for Him cuz he's working while we wait.
One of the reasons God makes us wait is for the sake of our growth. The fact is: we grow in times of crisis comes. When everything is going well, we tend to coast through life. But when a crisis comes, we immediately become sensitive to God and desperate for His help. It's at those times that we draw near to Him, and He is then able to develop His character in our lives.A second reason God makes us wait is for the sake of His glory. God often seems to wait to act on our behalf until we've moved into the arena of the impossible. Then He acts so that a watching world will know that He is the true and living God. In this way, we know firsthand the reality of His power."
"One thing we can be sure of . . .
God's time is always the right time. Patience is not learning to wait on others; it is learning to wait on God and to cooporate with His work in our lives. - Jow Stowell"
Responding: What kinds of situations make me impatient? What am I waiting for right now? What are some ways that God might be working in my situation while I wait?
(above are quoted from Our Journey, Sept 12 - Why Wait?)
ok after reading everything i was like being hit by a large rock from heaven right in my face! i admit i was kind of disappointed that God didnt say anything relating to him and i. but instead God was like trying to ask me to WAIT ON HIM! and not others. for a moment i was hanging in mid-air, wondering how can i relate to this issue. then as i went through the "responding" questions, i really asked myself. what was i waiting for? my mind clearly answered "
for him to be with me". then, i realised that that isnt what God wants me to do now. i started to realise that God had placed me into His
waiting room. He is working while i wait. and at this moment while i'm waiting and when things arent going that well, i would be sensitive to Him as i am desperate for His help. thus it is in these times where i'll draw near to God and let God develop His character in my life. and once all the waiting is over, God would then do his impossibles on my life for the watching world to see and witness that He is the true and living God!
AMEN to that? really, God works in wonderful ways. i just feel so amazingly refreshed! i trust that God have got other more amazing acts to do in my life which he has not finished. i dont know what my future holds regarding us. but sigh. i guess all i can do now is to trust God. :]
